Chelsea Kaplan’s Musings About Life... After Birth

It’sNationalPlay-DohDay!

Posted by Chelsea on September 16, 2009

Hasbro invites parents and kids to put on their chef hats and thinking caps to work together to create a fun, imaginative PLAY-DOH “recipe” that could win a makeover for both their playroom at home and at school. To win, visit www.ReadyGoPlayDoh.com to upload a photo of your child’s finest food-inspired PLAY-DOH brand creation along with the “recipe” to make it. The grand prize winner of the contest will receive a $5,000 playroom makeover as well as a $5,000 “Doh-nation” to their child’s school.

Contest entries will be accepted through September 30, 2009, at which point 10 finalists will be chosen. On October 15, 2009 the finalists will be posted on ReadyGoPlayDoh.com and the public will vote on who receives the $10,000 prize! For extra fun, the Ready Go Play-Doh website will also host daily giveaways with PLAY-DOH prizes, a gallery of creative contest entries and offer downloadable “recipes” for fun, original PLAY-DOH “snacks.”

To celebrate National Play-Doh Day and get you all in gear to begin creating your own “snacks” (if you or your kid accidentally takes a bite, no worries - PLAY-DOH is completely non-toxic), we’re giving away five of PLAY-DOH’s new Burger Builder Playset! Check it out, below:

Um, does this even need a caption? Doubtful, but let me just say that this is the hottest hour on television. Vampires are seriously sexy (especially Eric), and on this show you get to see a lot of them--if you get what I mean. Put the kids to bed and flip the channel to HBO on Sundays at 9 p.m. to taste the fun that is True Blood.
